Description:
Did you know September 17 is Constitution Day? Also known as Citizenship Day, September 17 commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on that date in 1787. In this workshop, we’ll examine the Constitution’s creation, trace its major changes, and explore its current limitations. In doing so, we will also dispel some myths. Topics include the current status of democracy, the history of the Constitution, and current issues of representation. This is a timely and thought-provoking workshop that helps us evaluate the U.S. Constitution’s meaning more critically.
