For its November reading, Wintonbury Poetry Series is pleased to announce a commemorative reading to honor Rennie McQuilkin, who passed away on July 3, 2024. Rennie was a major force in the Connecticut poetry scene. He not only founded the popular and long-running Sunken Garden Poetry Series at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington and served as Connecticut State Poet Laureate from 2015-2018, but he also published countless poets in his Antrim House Books Press and was a friend and mentor to many. He will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched.
