Event date: January 29, 2025
Event Time: 06:30 PM – 07:30 PM
Description:
Did you know that January is National Poverty in America Awareness Month? One alarming statistic surrounding this topic is the fact that Hartford has the highest concentration of individuals experiencing homelessness in Connecticut, accounting for 25% of the state’s homeless households.

Matt Morgan, Executive Director of Journey Home, will discuss the work of their team of innovative problem solvers who are passionate about ending homelessness in the community. Journey Home works to prevent as many people as possible from losing their housing, to find housing for anyone who is already experiencing homelessness, to help folks move into their homes and provide furnishings and household items, and to help them gain the income and services they need to never become homeless again. Bring your questions and learn more about how you can get involved.
