This year’s summer reading theme, “Plant a Seed, Read”, is rooted in the idea that a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Bloomfield Public Library raises readers who go on to think, dream, and create. The Homegrown Creatives Series highlights some of Bloomfield’s artists who are visionaries and leaders in their creative fields.
Meet Bloomfield’s Grammy-recognized Progressive R&B and Soul vocalist, songwriter, and producer Charmagne Tripp. With over 25 years in the industry, Charmagne blends rich vocals, live musicianship, and grown-woman soul with a modern edge. Rooted in the vibe she calls Hartford Soul, her music speaks to love, self-discovery, and the power of authentic connection. Charmagne will perform some of her favorite songs and share stories of her creative journey.
