For Black History Month, Women’s History Month, and America’s 250th Anniversary, we will feature three sessions that explore African American artists from different time periods in American history. While there are some names you have likely heard of, you will also view the work and hear the stories of artists you don’t know. Join us for all three sessions, or choose the date that works for you.

February 3: African American Artists: 1800–1900

February 24: African American Artists: 1900–1960

March 10: African American Artists: 1960-present

BPL is excited to welcome back “Conversations with Art” with Helane Rheingold. Through engaging commentary and questioning, Helane encourages viewers to learn and discover a new appreciation for art. Helane has worked as a docent at the Neuberger Museum of Art in Purchase, NY, an instructor at Learning in Retirement, Inc. in Stamford, CT, and an arts enrichment facilitator in the Stamford Public Schools.
